Wexford Public Private Partnership Project
Wexford Public Private Partnership Project
The 2 principal elements of this PPP Project are:
A N25 New Ross Bypass and Second River Crossing & Bypass
B M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy Project
and these elements will be developed as one project and this major project will be the biggest infrastructure project ever undertaken in County Wexford.
The N25 New Ross Bypass and Second River Crossing & Bypass commences at Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny with an At-Grade Roundabout and crosses over the River Barrow via a proposed Extrados type bridge between Pink Point in County Kilkenny and Stokestown in County Wexford. Continuing in a north easterly direction to Ballymacar Bridge, the Bypass interfaces with the R733 in Landscape by way of a Grade Separated Junction, and with the N25 at Ballymacar Bridge with an At-Grade Roundabout. From Ballymacar Bridge the Bypass continues to the northeast and interfaces with the existing N30 at Corcoran’s Cross, finishing with an at-grade roundabout to the east of Corcoran’s Cross with connecting roads to the existing N30 and severed Local Road L4003-3.
The M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy Motorway will run from the Southern end of the Gorey Bypass at Clogh to Scurlocksbush at Oilgate and will incorporate the Enniscorthy Bypass. This section of the scheme will be 27 km and the scheme will also include a 4 km dual carriageway connecting the new motorway to the existing N11 at Scarawalsh and a further 8 km single carriageway link from Scarawalsh to the N30 at Clohass.
