Funding

All works carried out on the National Roads Authority (NRA). These include major realignment works such as the Arklow - Gorey Bypass, and maintenance works such as Surfacing, General Maintenance and Winter Maintenance. The total National Road budget in 2010 is €21,732,352..

The maintenance and improvement of Non-National Roads (Regional Roads and Local Roads) is funded through a combination of:

• Exchequer funding in the form of Restoration and Discretionary Grants
• EU grants in the form of the Specific Improvement Grant
• Own resources
• The total Non-National Road budget in 2010 is €19,761,247.
