Motor Taxation Office (MTO).

Motor Taxation Office.

The MTO Taxes Vehicles and processes Drivers Licence applications and provides a range of customer services to facilitate these.

NB: Wexford MTO still processes applications for driver licences, but no longer issues the licences themselves, which are posted directly to the applicant.

Counter Opening Hours:

Monday to Friday: 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. including lunch-time. A ticketed queuing system is used.

Express Post Box:

Post can be left at MTO reception or at MTO post box at Main Reception.

Opening Hours:

Monday:              1.00pm    to    3.00pm

Wednesday:       10.00am   to    1.00pm

Friday:                 1.00pm    to    3.00pm

Information Desk MTO Reception:

Monday to Friday:  9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.  including lunch-time.          

 

Postal Applications:

You may post your completed forms to the Motor Tax Office at Carriglawn.

Do not put cash into posted envelopes.

 

Online Vehicle Taxing:

Private & Goods.

 You can tax online in any County Council library.

 Payment Options:

Cash, Cheque, Money Order, Postal Order, Credit and Debit Cards (not American Express.)

Postal orders and cheques must be made payable to "Wexford County Council."     Please ensure that cheques are crossed "Motor Tax."

For Driver Licence and other non downloadable forms, contact us by phone or e-mail. We'll post the form to you immediately.

You can get forms from: Main Reception, County Hall, Carriglawn.  Local Council offices in New Ross, Gorey and Enniscorthy, our Branch Libraries and your local Garda Station.
