Summary: The Role of Richard Corish in the Wexford Lockout of 1911. Kieran Roche spent his early years in the John Street area of Wexford town. He studied for his Leaving Certificate in St. Peter’s College and then went to Maynooth University to obtain a degree. He needed a subject for his Master’s thesis and his brother suggested that he look at the role of Richard Corish in the Wexford Lockout of 1911. Kieran talks in depth of the meticulous research required and of the sources he used to produce the bound and printed thesis. Much of his research took place in Dublin, particularly in the National Library, but he was also helped by Richard Corish’s son Des in Wexford and other members of the Corish family.
