Summary: Doris recalls her childhood days in Wexford and her family’s seafaring tradition – her father was master of The Barrels lightship. She describes her success in business both in Wexford and Dublin, her involvement with the Wexford Festival ( as a member of the Wexford Historical Society she acted as a tour guide for visitors ), and activities with many other organisations. Doris also became national president of an international businesswomen’s organisation. She is a cup-winning tennis player, a well-travelled art historian, a keen writer, and a life member of the Royal Dublin Society. She enjoys activities such as Tai-Chi with other members of the Rosslare Active Retirement Group.
