Summary: Canon Frank Forbes lives today with his wife Marie-Louise in the house he was born in. He and his siblings were educated at home by their father who was a Church of Ireland clergyman. Frank talks of his own ordination in Ferns Cathedral in 1988. He was also a farmer and businessman. He was a director of S. & A.G. Davis Flour Mills for fifty years and set up Barna which made sheds and garages. Frank talks of the businesses that have closed in his time. Like his father before him Frank is firmly committed to ecumenism. He recalls the effects of the Fethard Boycott which led to him and Marie-Louise, a Roman Catholic, having to go to England for their wedding ceremony.
