Summary: Seamus Dooley describes his early years growing up in a fishing village in west Clare, where his father owned a small garage. On leaving school Seamus dedicated himself to a career in the public service. He met his wife Breda while working in Athlone. The family arrived in Wexford in 1989 and when Seamus retired from his position as County Manager with Wexford County Council in 2003 the family continued to live in their adopted county. Among the many highlights of his time in Wexford Seamus is particularly proud of his involvement of the bicentennial commemorations of the 1798 Rebellion.
