Summary: Mick Condren was born in Castletown House and has lived in the area all his life. Nancy Condren grew up in Co. Kerry and comes from a family tradition of teaching so she became a teacher too. Mick and Nancy met at a Pioneer dance. When they married she had to give up teaching but returned to it in 1972 and taught for 14 years in Castletown. Mick farmed since he was “very young”. The land locally is very heavy and he had it drained in 1975. They talk about the different traditions they grew up with and Nancy sings a song about her native Kerry.
