EXPLORING INFORMATION SOURCES IN THE LIBRARY

I. Reference Books

Reference books include handbooks, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, directories, almanacs, data books, and yearbooks. The reference books are normally held in a particular section of the library.

  • Go to the reference books area where your DDC numbers are located.
  • Browse this area and try to find two reference books of interest.
  • Write down the titles of the reference books you find and their call numbers below. Briefly describe what kind of information they contain.
