Accessibility of the Online Catalogue
While every effort has been made to ensure the accessibility of our online content , databases not hosted by Wexford County Council may not reach the standards we set for our web content.The library catalogue is currently being developed to conform to accessibility guidelines.

How to do a Quick Search
Enter an author’s name in the search box eg binchy, maeve. From the drop-down box click on author and then click on Search. A list will appear. When you find the title that you want, click on Details for the full catalogue record. Alternatively, you can enter a title eg circle of friends, choose title from the drop-down box and click on Search. If you’re not sure of a title enter the words in the box and click on words or phrase. Enter a subject eg cookery and click on subject for a list of cookery titles.
Placing a Hold
If you want to place a hold on a title click on Details first. Click on Place Hold in the box on the left hand side and you will be prompted to supply your User ID and PIN. Then click on the Place Hold bar.
My Library
Review my Library
Enter your User ID and PIN here for details of your Checkouts and the items that you have on Hold.
Renew my Materials
Enter your User ID and PIN here to renew all or selected items.
User PIN change
Here you can change your PIN to one that is easier to remember.
Recommended Reading
On the homepage there are lists of winners of all the major literature prizes. If the library service holds copies of titles listed, it is indicated on the record. Click on Details if you want to place a hold.
Cool Sites
Contains sites of general interest that change periodically.
Highest Interest Items
Titles, subjects and authors listed here are those that have been most frequently loaned over the previous three months.
Library Info
Library Info contains a listing of new books recently catalogued, details of library opening hours and forthcoming events.
Childrens’ Library
Click on an icon for a list of books on that subject

For searching the web you can start with search engines Google or Yahoo.
www.askaboutireland.ie guides you through exciting content from Ireland’s public libraries, museums and archives.

Power Search
With Quick Search you choose one heading from the drop-down box under which to search ie. words or phrase, author, title or subject. With Power Search you can combine all of these headings in one single search to find something very specific. Enter your words in the appropriate boxes and click on Search.
Within Power Search you can also Browse the library catalogue. Enter a subject term eg. cookery and you can browse the titles that the library holds on that subject in all or selected branches. You can also search the catalogue by Call Number eg. for fiction by authors with call number F/SMI or for non-fiction titles eg. in the Dewey category 635 for gardening.
