Q. How do I join the library? How much does it cost?

A. Library membership is free. Just fill in an application form and show us some proof of your address, e.g. driver’s license/utility bill. Under 18s need an adult to act as guarantor for them.  The guarantor will also need ID.

Q. Do I need to book for the Internet? How much does it cost?

A. Access to the Internet is free. We suggest you book the Internet one or two days in advance. Each user is allowed a 1-hour slot per day.

Q. Do you have printing / photocopying facilities here?  How much does it cost?

A. Yes.; It costs 5c per A4 sheet.

Q. How many books can I take out? How long can I keep them?

A. Everyone can take up to 10 items. You can keep them for 3 weeks. You can also borrow music CDs, language courses and books-on-CD.

Q. Can I keep the books longer if I’m not finished?

A. Yes, you can renew them for a further 3 weeks if no-one else has asked for them

Q. Can I renew my books over the phone and online?

A. Yes, all you need is your user I.D. (on the back of your library card) to renew your books by phone. You can renew your books online (www.wexford.ie/library) using your ID and PIN. Collect your PIN at your local branch.

Q. Will I be charged fines if my books are late back?

A. Yes. Fines for late return of items are:

Adults: 10c per item per week or part of a week
Children: 5c per item per week or part of a week. You can easily avoid fines by renewing online by phone or in person.

Q. What are your opening hours? Do you have a late opening night?

Q. Can I use my library card in all the libraries in Co. Wexford?

A. Yes.  You can use your card in all branches and in the mobile libraries
