Application to EPA for Discharge Licence - Ferns

APPLICATION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR A WASTE WATER DISCHARGE LICENCE.

FERNS AND ENVIRONS

Notice is hereby given that Wexford County Council, County Hall, Wexford, Co. Wexford, Telephone No. 053 9176500, proposes to seek approval from the Environmental Protection Agency for a Wastewater Discharge Licence for the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant at Station Road, Ferns Lower, Ferns, Co. Wexford, and Carnew Road, Ferns Upper, Ferns, Co. Wexford.

The existing development consists of two Wastewater Treatment Plants at The Station Road, Ferns Lower, Ferns, Co. Wexford (Grid Ref: 302470E 149376N) and also at Carnew Road, Ferns Upper, Ferns, Co. Wexford (Grid Ref: 301595E 150176N) to treat sewage generated in Ferns Village and Environs, which is collected via a partially combined, pumped and gravity collection network.  The primary discharge point (to the River Bann) is located at Grid Ref: 302901E 149054N.  The secondary discharge point (to a tributary of the River Bann) is located at Grid Ref:  301627E 150296N.

The application for a Wastewater Discharge Licence alongside any other information pertaining to the Wastewater Discharge Licence, will be made available for inspection or purchase from the Environmental Protection Agency as soon as is practicable after receipt by the Agency.
