Wexford County Council wishes to advise customers of Holmestown Waste Management Facility (Recycling Centre and Landfill) that in accordance with new Waste Management Regulations that the Landfill Levy is being increased by the Minister for the Environment Community and Local Government from €34.05 to €56.75 including VAT per tonne effective from Thursday 1st September 2011. The following new charges shall apply from that date for non-recyclable waste deposited at Holmestown Waste Management Facility incorporating the levy increase;

Automated pay stations are in operation at Holmestown Waste Management Facility. A wide range of waste material from cardboard to plastic bottles to fridges and cookers can be brought to the Holmestown Household Recycling Centre free of charge. Telephone the Environment Section for more information (053-9196619). The Council regrets any inconvenience caused by the increased charges.
Please Note loads deemed to be in excess of 20 Bags or equivalent volume shall be weighed and charged at €186.75(*incl. Levy) per tonne .
*The levy is currently €56.75 per tonne
Customers are requested to have the exact fee ready when paying for waste.
Prepaid Tickets will be accepted until Saturday, 28th February, 2009.
Recyclable Material is free of charge in domestic quantities only. For a list of accepted items please click on the link at the bottom of this page.
Please ensure all recyclable material is separated from your household waste and deposited in the appropriate receptacles.
