Student Grant Scheme 2016

The new Student Grant Scheme 2016 has been published by the Department of Education and Skills for the academic year 2016/'17.

 Please note, if you are currently in receipt of a grant and are expected to continue on to the next stage of your current course you should receive your renewal form in the post in the coming weeks.

Students who are continuing existing courses and were in receipt of a grant from Wexford County Council for any year of their current course should complete an Income Renewal Form and forward same with exam results and all relevant income documentation for the tax year 2015 to:

The closing date for receipt of completed Renewal Forms is close of business on Friday 29th July 2016. Please note Wexford County Council cannot process applications until all documentation is received.

New Grant Applications for 2016/'17

A new ONLINE ONLY grant applications system was introduced in 2011 / 2012. All new applications should be submitted online to the single awarding authority, Student Universal Support ireland (SUSI) through the website

For the academic year 2016 / 2017, if you think you are eligible for a student grant you should apply online to SUSI now as you do not have to wait until you receive an offer from CAO or enrol in college.

Please note: If you are changing course or progressing to a postgraduate course you need to make your application to SUSI.

Student Contribution 2016/2017

The student contribution charge for 2016/2017 is €3,000. This charge is payable by students. You may be eligible for full (100%) or part (50%) grant for fees depending on the level of reckonable income.
