Round the Houses 5KM Fun Run (Word Document, 668 kbs)
-
The Round the Houses Fun Run is taking place on Sunday 27th September starting from the Town Park in New Ross. This Fun Run is a joint community venture between the New Ross Town Council, United Striders Athletics Club, RAPID New Ross and Sport Active Wexford (Local Sports Partnership). This participation event is only one part of a community day which is trying to encourage physical activity for the whole family. The event itself falls on World Heart Day and is the flagship event for National Heart Day in Ireland in conjunction with the Irish Heart Foundation.
It was felt that a community mass participation event would benefit the people of New Ross and its surrounding areas in improving community spirit, healthier lifestyles and most of all enjoyment of sport. Monies raised from this event will be distributed to three local charities. Prizes will be made available for schools which have the highest proportionate entry along with individual winner prizes. All participants will receive a medal.
