Aileen Lambert Visual / Multimedia (postcards & DVD) Bóthar is a series of postcards documenting local places relating to the theme of roads. Bóthar is the Irish word for road, and finds it origins in the Irish word bó, meaning cow; it means a path wide enough for two cows to pass. Roads have played, and continue to play, a significant role in how our villages and towns develop. In response to current plans to bypass the village of Clonroche, Bóthar documents places within the Clonroche area relating to the theme of roads. Eleven places which feature local names, historical connections and folklore associations were selected and feature on postcards which are presented as a limited edition pack in a folder. Éist takes the form of an audio CD which features sound recordings from various places in Ballymurn from Kilmallock graveyard to Ballylucas crossroads. A custom drawn map, which illustrates these locations, accompanies the soundworks.  Associated Schemes: Clonroche & Ballymurn Housing Scheme
