River Rythms – 1999

‘Canoing down the colour currents through time place and adventure’

This lively art project took the theme of a journey down a river, to explore the language of colour, texture, pattern and form. Artist Mary Claire O’Brien created her own piece of work which was exhibited in schools alongside the children’s work. The project was run in 10 County Wexford national schools.

Ramsgrange Sculpture Project - Sept to Nov 2000

A permanent sculpture to mark the millennium was set in the grounds in front of the Ramsgrange National School building. 80 children were involved in this project.

Ark Alongside Project - Nov 2000 to Mar 2001

This project drew together the work of children and the work of artists on the theme of ‘The Ark’

A series of high quality exhibitions of participants’ work on the theme were organised for each of the 7 schools involved in this project. Some of these became a focal point for the wider local community and involved the local press.
