Bringing the Arts together in the South East 

The Arts Office of Wexford County Council, in partnership with Local Authorities in the counties of Carlow, Waterford, Wicklow, Kilkenny and the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon, is part of ArtLinks - an innovative professional development service for creative practitioners of all disciplines from within this five county region. 

ArtLinks is for all amateur and professional creative practitioners, aged 18 and above, who are resident in the administrative areas of Co. Kilkenny, Co. Carlow, Co. Waterford, Co. Wexford and Co. Wicklow. 

ArtLinks aims to provide skills, knowledge and understanding and provide the necessary supports to develop creative practitioner’s work practices and careers.

Each participating county has identified an artform for development at this stage as follows:

• County Carlow:        Literature / Playwrighting
• County Kilkenny:     Literature
• County Waterford:   Literature
• County Wexford:     Youth Theatre
• County Wicklow:      Visual Arts

This newly conceived initative will allow artists / art groups to draw from their combined skills and capacity, empowering them to further their potential opportunities and networks.

This may lead to the realisation of a significant event / project or series of outcomes - the nature of which will bedetermined through the process of initial investigation and dialogue.
